Carmen Izquierdo Arkitektkontor is a progressive architectural office founded in its present form in 2009. Our aim is to find the hidden potential behind every issue and formulate a vision that we develop into a viable building. We believe that a close collaboration between the client, architect and contractor, really means that we are able to create fantastic environments for today and for the future. We are involved in all stages, from concept to finished building.
We are perceptive to the place and its character. We analyze the history of the building's contents and the building type, the programs will and site conditions. We want to create architecture with a strong sense of presence and place specificity, which adds qualities to its context, which finds an obvious answer to the program's organization and suggests ways to developing earlier solutions. We meet the needs and requirements of the program with exciting rooms and room sequences. We are looking for an architecture that has an intensity, which has a clear materiality and a coherence between the overall shape and the individual building component. We are looking for an architecture that lifts everyday life!
